Welcome to Engaging Educators Today, my friend. My name is Steven Northup, and yes, ‘Engaging' Educators can have 2 meanings. Unclear?  Adjective or verb?  Yes.   On purpose.    Know why?

It demonstrates an engagement technique - Targeted specifically toward teachers in the blink-of-an-eye.

Think about it…

Your teacher brain bumped into it and thought, “Which way? Is it a riddle? Or a lazy mistake?”  You may have liked the mystery, or maybe it triggered you because it wasn’t clear. Either way, it instinctively slowed, and engaged your mind, for one beat. Intentionally. You just felt it. And that’s our jam.                Showing you the secret rhythms of the brain.

COMMENTS FROM REAL TEACHERS…

“After finishing my first graduate course with Steven, I knew that it would certainly not be my last. His instruction is always above the creative edge – a dynamic personality that brings the best out of all his teachers.  He is a true “Educator”!

Beth Conroy –  Belleville East High School

“Steven’s passion and excitement for teaching are evident. His professionalism and relaxed style will give you insight into your students, but more importantly will give you insight into yourself, and how to improve your teaching!  He has a passion for teaching and inspiring educators.”

Christina Frank – Avery Elementary, 5th grade

Engaging The Student Brain overflows with practical techniques, strategies, and activities for teaching in rhythm with the student brain and human nature. It also gives you the invisible skills you need to use these tools tomorrow. We both know that the world's best tool, like knowledge, is useless if you haven’t been trained to use it.

This quick-and-easy read offers ideas and perspectives most teachers have never seen. So if you are looking for Hard-To-Ignore techniques that engage your students, you will be excited to read this book and watch what happens as you apply these principles and skills.  I wish you well my friend.  Let’s get started and have a little fun!

Teachers desperately need to partner with their student’s human nature.
